Part 2 of 4: Nutnfancy the review of the outstanding G17 pistol. Mired in un-founded controversy, the excellent Glock 17 came to us in the 1980s. It was a groundbreaking design that still stands up to the present day. It was the result of a start-from-scratch design by Austrian Mechanical Engineer Gaston Glock, the hitherto had no firearms design experience. Amazing. To date, the Glock semi-automatic pistols Nutnfancys a total bar for every new gun design (especially in 9mm). When IStudy a new design I assess it on terms of some straight questions. Is it simply the Glock track record in terms of weight, firepower, durability and reliability, ergonomics, simplicity, availability of accessories, price and proven? In general, the answer is no. Yes, there are some great designs out there from other manufacturers and I'm a fan of this too. But, if the above categories are objectively tallied and considered in its entirety, the Glock design is generally onup (at least for my system requirements). This is an amazing feat for a design that is decades old. Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 10 of 10
